Celebrating a Fantastic Conference

Praise God for a successful conference!  On January 13-15, we hosted 15 pastors to experience excellent fellowship, preaching, and worship.  We had six from Burma, and the other nine from other parts of Thailand.  We had Pastor Jesse Tricola fly in from America to preach, Tai Mahawon to lead worship, and a man named Soria from Cambodia to manage our sound and media.  A team from Trinity Church in Washington came to serve with us.  Pastor David Mahawon, Pastor Paula Mahawon, and Pastor Jesse preached powerful and inspiring messages during the daytime teaching sessions and evening services.

At least 100 people attended the evening services.  During those services, at least 4 people accepted Jesus as Savior, and 4 were immediately healed of physical sicknesses.  Everyone was very impressed by the quality of worship and facilities, and were eager to learn from our team as to how to replicate it in their own church.

We also released our new Shan album, recorded in Oregon by Tai and several of his friends.  The album has covers of eight different worship songs, sung in the Shan language for the first time.  The album is available for free download here, and was given to all the pastors for their churches.

We thank you for your prayers.  Before the conference, we experienced several incidents that Satan attempted to use to hinder us.  Several pastors were unable to attend because of unusual circumstances or sickness.  Our vehicles began to act up, and equipment that had worked the entire year began to malfunction.  The six pastors from Burma were stopped at the border due to minor logistical errors.  However, because we were fully funded to host 25 pastors, we were able to pay their away across and get them to the conference in time.

God is greater than any attack, and we are celebrating a very successful conference!  In fact, we can’t wait for next year’s conference, and neither can the pastors!  Thanks to all for your faithful prayers and financial support.  Please enjoy some of our favorite pictures from the conference below!
