April and May were great months at TCI! Please continue reading to hear about all that God is doing!
To start, Pastor David, Paula, and Sanan are enjoying their time in the States! Sticking primarily to the West Coast and Oklahoma, they are sharing and ministering, visiting family, and enjoying seeing friends and supporters!
Back in Thailand, the farm is prepping for mango season (yum…)! But the kids have decided to do a project of their own. Working in teams, they’re constructing their own chicken coops and vegetable gardens to create the best structure possible! In the farm at large, we’re growing pineapple, corn, mushrooms, and raising pigs! Below is the kid’s chicken coop.
In church news, New Vision Church has taken a bold step forward in an effort to reach more people in our area in northern Thailand. We have added the Thai language to our weekly services! Due to the tremendous efforts of the church team and the addition of Pastor Suwon translating into Thai, we have both worship and sermons available in Shan and Thai. We believe this move will expand the reach of the Gospel in our community, as well as reach our young people, who understand Thai more than Shan. As Thailand is the center of SE Asia, this move helps us accomplish our overall goal: to reach this area of the world with the Gospel of Christ!
Finally, the first week of May was the opening week of New Vision Life School! The school focuses on language learning, life skills development, and wise Biblical living. Through this school, our secondary education students will receive a holistic education that prepares them well for their future! We are still accepting volunteer teachers for short-term or long-term positions.
All of these events, projects, and travels could not succeed without God’s faithfulness. But we also know that God uses His people’s prayers and resources to help further His kingdom!
