From Trumpets Of Christ

This month, the Thai-Shan church model is going very well! As a church, we held a special fellowship event on May 17th. After the service, we ate a large curry lunch together. Then, we worked as a group to package 60 gifts to give out on our outreaches, full of coffee, laundry detergent, soap, pencils, notebooks, and snacks! We gave these out on our outreaches to two nearby villages the following Saturday. On these outreaches we were able to share the Gospel with people who had witnessed miracles, and wanted to learn more about Jesus. We will outreach each Saturday.
With the onset of rainy season, the vegetables and fruits are growing fast. The mangos are already bagged to prevent bugs from damaging their skin, and are already being harvested! We’ve also started a mountain-rice project. Below is a picture of the seed-drying process!
We had a wonderful team from One World Missions join us for 10 days. They assisted us in going on outreaches, held game days for the kids, taught first aid and English in the school, painted a room in the church, and ministered! They were a tremendous blessing to us, and we really enjoyed all the fun with had with them as well!
Also this past month, Pastor Shan took a trip to one of our church plants, Bang Ma Pha Church. He traveled with Sang, our worship leader. He preached a practical yet powerful message. The pastors there said they were very encouraged by their visit!
We are also excited that two people have joined our volunteer team at Faith Village this month! One is Oot Mahawon, Pastor David’s nephew. We are very happy to have him with us!
We also welcomed Kham Ong into our community a short time ago. He will be training under Lindsey and assisting in the day-to-day classroom activities for one year. He is a new believer, and is growing very quickly from the preaching and fellowship each week!
