Victory Church , Tha Ton

Victory Church ThaTon is active and strong in reaching out to the Shan community in northern Thailand. Unlike the past , where Shan people were illegal migrants, now days, the Shan people are not only legal, but are also considered to be a vital asset to the labor force for the continued economic growth of Thailand. More than two million Shan people live and work in Thailand. This creates an amazing opportunity to reach them for Christ. Victory Church is a refuge, training and growing place in Christ. VCT is also teaching and training new believer to be a faithful and strong in serving church and God’s works in every opportunity, visiting migrant worker’s shed and work places. Giving out gifts, food and medical supplies. Every week and every Christian activities we invite the kids and bring them to join in so they can hear the good news about our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Rang Mahawon preaching

Pastor Rang is an anointed preacher, firm in the Word and a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. We met him when he was 18 years old. God had already been preparing his life to serve Him. Before we even shared about the Lord he said “I have been ready for many years to accept Jesus”, and he wanted to become a Christian. So, we led him to the Lord and baptized him right away. That was in August 1996. He presently pastors our Victory Church Ban Mae Pha.

Pastor Rang is leading a little girl Sandy to the Lord

After preaching the Word, one of our Faith Village children decided to give her life to Jesus. Sandy, she named herself, is 6 years old and lived in a Shan labor camp in Northern Thailand. She had no father, only a mom, little sister and another baby sister on the way. She was neglected and had no opportunity to go to school and learn. She is a bright little girl with no fear of anything. Her mother contacted us and wanted to send her to Faith Village to learn and to keep her safe from a possible human trafficking situation. Sandy did not think twice when the opportunity was presented to her. She was excited to come. We contacted our daughter who lived near the work camp. She drove to pick her up, but, the funny thing was that they had never met each other and did not know what each other looked like. Pastor David was on the phone with both parties at the same time constantly, instructing, guiding and translating for them and finally, thank God, they found each other. Sandy is a sweet little girl and is a blessing to all of us at Faith Village.
